Have you been involved in an accident and feel that you may be part of an insurance scam? Here are some signs that you may have been involved such a scheme:

1. A car from behind you passes you and then cuts in front of a vehicle in front of you. The car in front of you slams on their brakes and you rearend them? This is called a "Swoop and Squat" and you may have been a victim of a staged auto accident.

2. You are making a left turn at an intersection that has two side-by-side turn lanes. The other vehicle waits for you to drift into their lane, or they have a pedestrian near the curb that makes to move over. The next thing you know, you have been involved in an accident. You have been involved in a "drive down"

3. Your driving down the road and the car in front of you is an older model vehicle that has a lot of people in it. Your a cautious driver and keep a safe distance from the car. The next thing you know, you are momentarily distracted bu your cell phone. This is when the backseat passengar tells the driver to slam on their brakes. You my have just been involved in a "panic stop" accident.

4. Your driving from a parking lot onto a street and the other car seemingly montions you to let you out. The next thing you know, the other vehicle hits you. You may have been involved ina "drive down" accident.
